Meet The Therapist
Sandra is a graduate of Carleton University (Master of Social Work), University of Toronto (Teaching Certification) and Boston University (Bachelor of Arts). She is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is Registered by both the Canadian Registry of Marriage and Family Therapy and the Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Sandra is also a Registered Sex Therapist, having received the accreditation of The Ontario Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario (the first person in Ottawa with Registration in both marital and sex therapy). Her postgraduate training includes study in marital and sex therapy at the Family Studies Program at the University of Ottawa, University of Guelph, the University of Calgary, as well as the Albert Einstein School of Medicine Summer Institute.

Due to her keen interest in learning the most current and innovative therapy techniques, Sandra regularly attends professional conferences both in Canada and the United States. Sandra is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), considered the "gold standard" in the treatment of trauma.

The clinical practice of Sandra Levine Slover focuses on individual, couple, family and sex therapy. Among the many issues for which people seek therapy are:
- feelings of sadness, anger, powerlessness or resentment, or any combination thereof
- personal identity issues
- differences in levels of sexual desire
- sexual dysfunctions
- infidelity
- grief and/or loss
- home and/or work related stress
- effects of abuse and trauma
- internet addiction (among other sexual addictions)
- relationship and sexual enrichment
- reproductive loss

Since 1986, Sandra has been providing professional services in Individual, Couple, Family and Sex Therapy, and considers it a privilege to work with individuals and couples to help them restore their personal and intimate connections.
